Here we have a really well made 3 1/2" gauge GWR King, 6001 'King Edward VII'. This is actually a pretty rarely modeled prototype in 3 1/2", particularly a full on 4 cylinder model, as this one is. Although we've never sold this loco before, we do know the model reasonably well, the current owner first bringing it to us early last year to 're-commission' and sort out ready for him to play with last season. We've driven it ourselves and can confirm that it's a lovely running machine with steady and even exhaust beats that will crawl or fly round your track depending upon the size of your,...... ambition!
She's got a couple of injectors, a bypass valve on the footplate for the crosshead pump and an emergency water pump in the tender. Lubrication is displacement, and the resevoir is visible under the footplate, with a sight feed in the cab. There is a working steam brake, as well as footplate operated drain cocks. In fact, all in all it's a pretty well equipped and sorted 3 1/2" loco, that is ready for you to hit the track running straight away.
The boiler is copper, silver soldered. We've tested this one ourselves last year and can confirm that it's in good condition and ready to go with 3 years left on the Hydraulic and a fresh annual steam certificate for the season ahead.
